Sarah Can Now Travel Safely In Her New Minivan

Tracye, Mobility Consultant for R&R Mobility in Conyers, GA, assisted this family in selecting a wheelchair accessible minivan with VMI Northstar Access 360 conversion which will allow Sarah to travel safely.  It will also keep Mom, Dad & sisters safe by eliminating the need for transfers!

First, my family and I would like to sincerely thank you for the grant awarded to us by your foundation towards assisting us in a successful purchase of a much-needed wheelchair accessible van.  It is impossible to express our deepest and sincerest gratitude that your foundation chose to contribute to helping us meet a huge goal we set for our family.  Our daughter, Sarah, can now feel safer sitting in her wheelchair as she travels.  Finally having the opportunity to purchase our new van not only helps Sarah, but helps us all out.  Sarah has grown so much more than we could have expected.  Her added weight and physical disability combined have made it increasingly difficult for us to lift and maneuver her in and out of her wheelchair and car seat (especially alone).  Her sisters have now had to help us with getting her in and out as well as placing Sarah’s wheelchair on the lift.  Our purchase, along with your help, will significantly improve our entire family’s quality of life and help keep us all safe.  From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you very, very much!
