Kaitlynn & Kayden Are Enjoying The Ride!

Nicole Veatch, Mobility Manager at Jay Hatfield Mobility in Salina, KS, assisted this family in receiving a new El Dorado conversion for their minivan.  A very special thank you, as well, to Q’Straint for ensuring that both children’s wheelchairs are safely and easily secured in the vehicle. This is a perfect example of why we do what we do!

On behalf of my whole family, I would like to say Thank You, National Organization for Vehicle Accessibility, for making our van conversion possible!  Our lives have been transformed in ways we can’t even fully express!  We have 2 children in wheelchairs, 100% dependent.  Before we got our van converted, we were having to lift our 55 lb and 35 lb kids in and out of their car seats.  It was really wearing on our bodies and sadly, because we felt we were putting ourselves and our children in danger by carrying them, we didn’t get to take them to very many places once our daughter hit about 50 lbs.

Since getting our van, we have been able to get out and take our kids to parties, city events, the park, and many other places again!  Also, my son recently has had to go to appointments every 2 weeks & this has made that so much easier!

Again, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts & can’t wait to pay it forward some day!  Bless you!
