This Active Mom Is Enjoying Her Mobility Freedom

Mary Ann worked with Scott Creel of HDS Vans & Mobility in Marietta, GA to purchase her  BraunAbility Toyota Rampvan wheelchair accessible minivan. Read what she has to say about the difference this will make for her and her son:

Thank you for allowing me to be a recipient of The Ralph Braun Grant allowing me to be independent and mobile. Having a rare spinal cord injury called “Syringomyelia” means I have quad weakness and pain, making it difficult to get out of my home.  Now with the help of The National Organization for Vehicle Accessibility, I was able to purchase my own van with a BraunAbility ramp.  Now my Quickie chair and I can go anywhere we want.  Most importantly I can continue to care for my son alone, and can get out and advocate for others who share my disability.
